Switching organisations

If you belong to more than one organisation, use the organisation switcher to see one organisation's events at a time, or choose All my organisations.

Each organisation sees only the events created under it. If you belong to two or more organisations, a switcher at the top of the sidebar (on a phone, in the top bar) picks which organisation you're working in. Choose All my organisations to see everything at once.

If you only belong to one organisation, there's no switcher — you always see all your events.

Using the switcher#

  1. Open it

    Click the organisation name at the top of the sidebar. It shows the organisation's logo or initial, its name and your role (Owner, Admin or Member). On a phone, tap the organisation pill in the top bar.

  2. Pick an organisation

    Under Show events from, choose an organisation — or All my organisations at the bottom ("Events from both", or "Events from all N").

  3. Carry on

    Your Events list, Engagements, Dashboard, calendar and search reload for that choice.

You can also switch from Settings → Organisation → Switch organisation, which lists each of your organisations with an Active label on the current one.

What each choice shows#

Switching only changes what's listed. It never gives you access to events you couldn't open before, and it doesn't change any event.

Lists show events you created. Teammates' events don't appear, whichever organisation you pick. See What teammates can and can't do.

Which organisation a new event belongs to#

A new event (including a duplicate) is filed under the organisation you're working in when you create it:

  • An organisation selected → the event belongs to that organisation.

  • All my organisations selected → the event belongs to your current organisation — the last specific organisation you picked.

A duplicated event stays in the original's organisation when you duplicate it under All my organisations.

Moving an existing event to a different organisation is not available yet. If an event ended up in the wrong one, write to support@showtix.com.au.

Your choice is remembered#

  • Picking a specific organisation makes it your current organisation on your account, so it follows you to other devices. Settings such as which sections appear in your menu follow it too.

  • All my organisations is remembered in that browser only. On a new device you start in your current organisation.

Can't find an event?#

  1. Check the switcher. The event may be under another organisation — choose All my organisations to see everything.

  2. Check the Upcoming, Past and Drafts filters on the Events page.

  3. If a teammate created it, it won't appear in your list at all.

If you've been removed from an organisation, it disappears from your switcher, and events you created under it no longer appear in your lists. Contact support@showtix.com.au if you need them back.
