For hosts
Hosting events
Create an event, set up tickets and seating, get approved, sell, check people in and get paid.
- Becoming a hostStart hosting on ShowTix — build your first event before you even have an account, or turn on hosting from your dashboard.
- Create an eventStep-by-step — details, location, tickets, then review and publish. Works whether or not you're signed in.
- VenuesPick an existing venue or add a new one, keep its details up to date, and save reusable seating plans. Hosts can edit venues but not delete them.
- Ticket types and pricingSet up ticket pools and ticket types — prices, quantities, order limits, on-sale timing and seated zones.
- Fees explainedCustomers pay the price you set. The booking fee — $1 plus 3.5% of the rest — comes out of that price, and free tickets are free.
- Seating designerBuild a seat map for your event — seats, tables and standing zones in 2D and 3D — and sell individual seats.
- Publishing and approvalWhat you need before an event goes live, how first-event review works, what each status means, and how to unpublish.
- PayoutsHow and when your ticket money reaches your bank account — the next business day after your event, 100% of your net, no reserve.
- Promo codesCreate discount codes for your event on the Coupons tab — percent or dollar off, usage caps, minimum spend, ticket-type scope and a featured offer.
- Comps and the guest listIssue free guest-list tickets from the Guest list tab — paste names and emails, pick a ticket type, and each guest is emailed their own ticket.
- Checking customers in at the doorRun your door from the Check-ins tab in any browser — scan QR tickets with a scanner, search by name, and watch the live checked-in count.
- Attendees and exportsFind who's coming, resend tickets, and download the Attendees CSV (door list) and Sales CSV from your event's Reporting tab.
- Announcements and messages to ticket holdersEmail everyone with a ticket from the Announce tab, send email or SMS campaigns from Messenger, and see which emails customers get automatically.
- WaitlistsWhen every ticket is gone, customers can join your event's waitlist. Freed tickets are offered to them automatically, oldest first.
- Refunds and cancellationsApprove customer refund requests, refund a single ticket or part of one, cancel an event and refund everyone, and whether to refund the booking fee.
- Reporting and analyticsTrack ticket sales, revenue, discounts, demand and sales channels on your event's Reporting tab, and see totals across events on your Dashboard.
- Organisations and your teamSet up your organisation's name, billing details and branding, invite teammates as members, admins or owners, and what each role can do.
- Switching organisationsIf you belong to more than one organisation, use the organisation switcher to see one organisation's events at a time, or choose All my organisations.
