How and when your ticket money reaches your bank account — the next business day after your event, 100% of your net, no reserve.

On this page
ShowTix pays your ticket money into your bank account the next business day after your event ends. You get 100% of your net — ticket sales less booking fees and refunds. There's no rolling reserve and no hold.
When you get paid#
Your payout is scheduled when you publish the event. The settlement date is 24 hours after the event ends, moved forward to the next Australian business day. Weekends and national public holidays are skipped.
| Event ends | Settlement date |
|---|---|
| Thursday night | Friday |
| Friday night | Monday |
| Saturday night | Monday |
If Monday is a national public holiday, the payout moves to Tuesday. State and territory public holidays aren't accounted for yet, so a payout could fall on one of those.
Payouts are made after the event only. ShowTix doesn't offer instant payouts or advances on ticket sales before the event, and doesn't use Stripe Connect accounts for hosts. Payments are made by bank transfer from ShowTix to the account you've chosen for the event.
Setting up your bank details#
Payout details are required before any event can go live.
First event (new hosts)#
If you're publishing your first event from the event builder, the last step asks for:
Account name
BSB (6 digits)
Account number
Your account is saved for next time.
Adding accounts in Financials#
Go to Financials in the sidebar (/financials). You need a business entity first, then a bank account.
Add a business entity
Under Business Entities, click New entity. Enter the Business name and ABN (11 digits), and switch on GST registered if it applies.
Add a bank account
Under Bank Accounts, click New account. Choose the Business entity, then enter the Account name, BSB and Account number (6–10 digits). Click Add account.
Account numbers are stored securely and always shown masked. To edit an account but keep the same number, leave Account number blank.
The ABN on your business entity is printed on customers' tax invoices as the seller of the tickets.
Choosing the account for an event#
Each event settles into one bank account. You choose it when you publish: the Settlement bank account field on Review & publish.
To change it later, open your event → Payments → Settlement account, and pick a different Bank account.
Checking your payout#
Open your event → Payments. You'll see four panels.
Your payout promise gives the settlement date and your net amount. Its tags read Reserve 0%, Hold 0 days and Post-event only.
Payout preview shows a running breakdown:
| Line | What it means |
|---|---|
| Gross ticket revenue | What customers paid, before discounts |
| Platform & booking fees | The booking fees on your tickets (see Fees explained) |
| GST collected (payable by you) | GST included in your share, for ticket types with GST applied |
| Net payout to you | What will be paid to you |
Settlement account shows the bank account the event pays into.
Scheduled payout shows the payout's status, Settlement date, Net amount, Total revenue and Tickets. The status is scheduled until the transfer is made, then paid. If a transfer doesn't go through, it shows failed — contact us (below).
Payouts are scheduled per event. Financials only holds your entities and accounts, so look at each event's Payments page for its payout.
Refunds, comps and discounts#
Refunds before settlement come out of your payout. Booking fees on refunded tickets aren't returned. See Refunds and cancellations.
Comps and guest-list tickets add nothing to your payout and cost nothing.
Promo code discounts reduce what the customer paid, so they reduce your net. See Promo codes.
