Receipts and tax invoices

Your ShowTix confirmation email is your receipt and tax invoice — what it shows (GST, booking fee, ABNs) and how to get another copy.

For customersLast updated

On this page

Your order confirmation email doubles as your receipt. For a paid order it's titled Tax invoice and shows every ticket line, the total you paid, the booking fee and the GST included, and who sold you the tickets — with their ABN when they've provided one.

The confirmation email#

Straight after you pay, we email the address you entered at checkout. The subject is "Your tickets for [event] · Order #XXXXXXXX". It contains:

  • Order confirmed and the event's date, time, venue and a map link

  • View your tickets — opens your order page

  • Open in the app — opens a ticket in the ShowTix app, if you have it

  • your tickets attached as a PDF (see Ticket PDF and Apple Wallet)

  • the receipt section described below

If it hasn't arrived after a few minutes, check your spam or promotions folder, then use My Tickets to find your order.

What the tax invoice shows#

LineWhat it means
Order referenceAn 8-character reference such as #4C9DE237. It matches your ticket PDF and order page.
Ticket linesQuantity × ticket type, the price each, and your seats if the event is seated
Subtotal and Promo codeShown only if you used a promo code
Total paidExactly what was charged to your card or PayPal
Includes booking feeThe booking fee — already inside the ticket prices, not added on top
Includes GSTThe GST included in the total

Under the totals:

  • Sold by [organiser] · ABN [number]. — the host who sold the tickets. If they haven't given us an ABN, only their name appears.

  • Booking fee supplied by Songbrothers Records Pty Ltd t/as ShowTix Event Ticketing · ABN 63 617 186 919. — the booking fee is supplied by ShowTix.

  • "All prices in AUD and include GST."

Free orders get the same section titled Receipt instead of Tax invoice.

Booking fee and GST are always included

ShowTix prices are fee-inclusive. The amounts marked "Includes" are part of the total you paid, itemised so you can see them — nothing extra is charged.

Your order page#

The View your tickets link opens your order page (/tickets/ followed by your order number). It shows the same figures as the email — your ticket lines, Total paid, Includes booking fee and Includes GST — next to your tickets. Select Copy beside Order reference to copy your reference.

Getting another copy#

  • Resend the email — there's no self-service resend. Open your order from My Tickets instead; it has the same receipt figures. Or ask the host or support to resend your tickets.

  • Find an old order — use My Tickets with the email you bought with.

Invoices in a business name#

Receipts are issued to the name and email entered at checkout. Changing the name on a receipt, or issuing a separate invoice to a company, isn't available yet. If you need one for an expense claim, contact support with your order reference.

After a refund#

Refunds don't produce a new tax invoice. You'll get a refund email confirming the amount — see Refunds. Refunded tickets show as Refunded in My Tickets.
