On this page

Everything you can buy through ShowTix is on What's On at /shows — the same list as the What's On tab in the ShowTix app. Search by event, performer, venue or town, narrow it down by date and price, then open an event to buy tickets.

Where to look#

The site menu has these browse pages:

Menu itemAddressWhat it shows
What's On/showsEvery event on sale through ShowTix
Venues/shows/venuesVenues with events on ShowTix
Performers/shows/artistsEvery performer with an upcoming date
My Tickets/my-ticketsTickets you've already bought — see My Tickets

Searching and filtering events#

On What's On:

  1. Type into Search (event, performer or venue) and/or City / State (for example "Melbourne, VIC"), then select Search.

  2. Use the quick date buttons — Tonight, This weekend, This week or This month. Select the active one again to turn it off.

  3. Select Filters for more options:

    • From and To dates

    • Min price and Max price

    • Sort by: Soonest, Price: low to high or Price: high to low

  4. Select Clear to remove all filters.

If nothing matches, the page says so — try a wider date range or clear a filter.

Prices you see are what you pay

Ticket prices on ShowTix already include the booking fee. The fee is shown as "Includes $x booking fee" under each price, so there's nothing added at the end.

Browsing by venue or performer#

  • Venues (/shows/venues) — type in Find a venue or town, and sort by Most shows or A–Z. Open a venue to see what's coming up there.

  • Performers (/shows/artists) — type in Find a performer by name, and sort by Most shows or A–Z. Open a performer to see their upcoming dates.

More events from other sites#

Sometimes What's On also shows a More events section under the ShowTix events. These are events sold on other ticketing sites. Each one is credited to its source (for example Via Humanitix) and opens that site in a new tab to buy.

These are not ShowTix events. Your purchase, tickets and any refund are handled by that site, not by ShowTix — so our help articles and support can't help with those orders.

More events follows your city and date filters. It's hidden while you search by name or filter by price, and when there's nothing to show.

On an event page#

An event page (for example /shows/your-event) shows:

  • the date, time, venue and a Get directions link, plus doors time, venue phone and website when the host has added them

  • who is Presented by the event

  • other dates, if the event runs more than once — pick a date and select Get tickets

  • Add to calendar (Google Calendar, or an .ics file for Apple Calendar and Outlook) and a Share button

  • the Tickets panel, where you choose tickets or seats

If tickets aren't on sale yet, the panel shows a countdown and the date they'll be available. If the event is sold out, you can join the waitlist — see Waitlists.

Next: choose your seats or go straight to checkout.
