Emails about tickets you've bought — confirmations, transfers, refunds, cancellations and updates from the host — always arrive, because they're about your order. You can turn off marketing emails in your account settings, and performers can turn off reminder emails with the Unsubscribe from reminders link in those emails.

| Ticket transfer | When someone sends you a ticket | No |

Customer emails don't have an unsubscribe link yet. If you don't want the before- and after-event emails, reply to one and ask us to stop them.
Marketing emails#
ShowTix only sends you marketing if you've agreed to it — for example by ticking Send me news about shows from ShowTix (optional) when you created your account.
To change it:
Sign in and go to Settings → Profile (or the account menu → Profile).
Under Communication, switch Marketing emails on or off ("Product updates, tips and occasional offers.").
The change saves straight away.
Account email notifications#
Also under Settings → Profile → Communication, Email notifications covers "Booking activity, ticket sales and account alerts." It's mainly for hosts and performers — for example, performers with it switched off don't get emailed new booking requests. It doesn't stop the order and ticket emails above.
Unsubscribe from reminders (performers)#
Performers get reminders before a performance, nudges about open invitations, and thank-you notes afterwards. These emails have an Unsubscribe from reminders link at the bottom.
Selecting it turns reminders off straight away and opens a page showing Reminders turned off.
Changed your mind? Select Turn reminders back on on the same page.
Many email apps also show their own Unsubscribe button for these emails, which does the same thing.
Turning reminders off doesn't stop invitations, confirmations, schedule changes or cancellations — "you'll never miss a change to a performance you're booked for."
If the page says your link isn't valid, use the link in your most recent email, or reply to it and we'll update your preferences for you.
