Managing payouts
How the admin Payouts tab works — the awaiting-payout list, marking payouts paid or failed, and payout history.

This page is for ShowTix platform admins only. These screens are not visible to hosts.
ShowTix doesn't move money automatically. An admin makes the bank transfer outside ShowTix, then records it on Platform Admin → Payouts (/admin/payouts) by marking the payout paid — or failed if it bounced.
For what hosts see and the timing promise they're given, read Payouts.
How payouts get scheduled#
A payout record is created for an event when it's published with a settlement bank account. Its settlement date is 24 hours after the event ends, rolled forward to the next Australian business day (weekends and national public holidays skipped). Payouts are post-event only — there is no way to pay out before an event ends.
Every payout has one of three statuses:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| scheduled | Created, waiting for the transfer. Every payout starts here. |
| paid | An admin has confirmed the transfer was made. |
| failed | An admin has recorded that the transfer didn't go through. |
Awaiting payout#
The top panel lists finished events that still owe the host money. An event appears when:
it's public and has ended,
it sold at least one ticket,
it has no paid payout, and
it ended in the last 180 days — or it's older but still has a scheduled payout.
Each row shows the event, tickets sold, how many days ago it ended, the bank account (or "no payout scheduled") and the net owed to the host. The panel heading notes "Ended in the last 180 days, or payout scheduled". When nothing is waiting, it says "Every event from the last 180 days has been paid out".
The same list feeds the Needs payout card on the Overview tab.
Marking a payout paid#
Make the bank transfer to the account shown on the row.
Click Mark paid.
The Mark payout paid? dialog asks you to confirm the amount has been transferred to that bank account. Click Mark paid.
The event drops off the awaiting list and the payout shows paid in history and on the host's Payments page.
Marking a payout failed#
Click Mark failed, then Mark failed again in the Mark payout failed? dialog. The dialog warns that it will need to be rescheduled.
Rescheduling a failed payout is not available yet in the admin tools. After you mark one failed, the event stays on the awaiting list showing Awaiting schedule, with no buttons. Sort out the bank details with the host and ask engineering to reschedule it.
Awaiting schedule#
A row with Awaiting schedule instead of buttons has no scheduled payout — usually because the event was published without a bank account, or its payout was marked failed. There's nothing to mark until a payout exists.
The amount on the row is calculated live from ticket sales. The amount in the confirmation dialog comes from the payout record, which is only refreshed when the payout is recalculated, so the two can differ (for example after a late refund). Check the event's figures before you transfer.
Payout history#
The Payout history panel lists every payout record, earliest settlement date first:
Columns: Event, Settlement, Tickets, Amount, Bank and Status. Bank shows the account name, BSB and account number, or "No bank on file".
Filter with All statuses, Scheduled, Paid or Failed.
History is read-only — the Mark paid and Mark failed buttons are only on the awaiting list. Changing a payout that is already paid or failed isn't available in the UI.
