Storefronts and custom domains
Give your organisation a branded ticket shop at your-name.showtix.com.au, and connect your own domain with a DNS TXT record.

A storefront is a full-page ticket shop for your organisation at your own address — your-name.showtix.com.au — in your colours. It lists your upcoming events and runs checkout in place, so it's ideal for link-in-bio, emails and socials. No code needed.
Set it up in Settings → Embed & storefront → Your storefront (/settings/embed). Organisation owners and admins can make changes; other members see the settings read-only.
Claim your storefront address#
Choose an address
In Your storefront, type the name you want in Address — it sits in front of
.showtix.com.au. ShowTix checks it as you type and shows either "… is available" or the reason it can't be used.Claim it
Select Claim. The address goes live straight away and an Open link appears at the top of the panel and the page.
Address rules#
3–40 characters: lowercase letters, numbers and single hyphens (not at the start or end).
First come, first served — an address another organisation holds shows "Already taken".
Some names are reserved for ShowTix itself and can't be claimed — for example
www,api,admin,help,support,tickets,shows,events,checkout,loginanddevelopers.
Changing or releasing the address#
Type a new name and select Change, or select Release this address to give it up. The old address stops working immediately — visitors to it are sent to the ShowTix home page — so update any links you've shared.
What's on your storefront#
| Address | Shows |
|---|---|
https://your-name.showtix.com.au/ | All your organisation's upcoming public events. |
/events/<event id or slug> | One event, with ticket selection and seat maps. |
/checkout/<order id> | Checkout for that order. |
/order/<order id> | The customer's order and tickets after purchase. |
Anything else — signing in, My Tickets, account pages — opens on the main showtix.com.au site. Only events created under your organisation appear.
Orders placed on your storefront are reported as sales_channel: "storefront" in the Partner API and appear in the Performance panel on the same settings page, split by website. When a customer buys through your storefront or embed, the order link in their confirmation email points back to your storefront.
The look — colours, font, light or dark — comes from Look & feel; see Theming and branding.
Use your own domain#
You can connect a domain you own, such as tickets.yourvenue.com.au. ShowTix only sends customers to it once you've proved you control it with a DNS TXT record.
Enter your domain
Under Your own domain, type the domain in Domain and select Connect. Use a subdomain you own, like
tickets.yourvenue.com.au— showtix.com.au addresses can't be used here (claim a storefront address instead), and each domain can only be connected to one organisation. The status shows Awaiting DNS.Add the two DNS records
At your DNS provider, add the records shown on screen:
Record Name Value TXT — proves you own the domain _showtix-verify.tickets.yourvenue.com.aushowtix-verify=<your token>(copy it from the TXT record value box)CNAME — sends visitors to your storefront tickets.yourvenue.com.austorefronts.showtix.com.auMany DNS providers add your domain to the end of the name automatically. If yours does, enter only the part before your domain — for example
_showtix-verify.ticketsandtickets.Verify
Select Verify domain. ShowTix looks up the TXT record; when it matches, the status changes to Verified. If the record isn't found yet you'll see "We couldn't find the TXT record … yet" — DNS changes can take a few minutes, so wait and try again.
HTTPS for your own domain isn't automatic yet
Verification is self-serve, but serving your storefront securely on your own domain also needs an HTTPS certificate for that domain on our side, and issuing it automatically is not available yet. Once your domain shows Verified, email support@showtix.com.au with your organisation and domain so we can finish the connection. Your your-name.showtix.com.au address works in the meantime.
Changing or disconnecting a domain#
Change lets you enter a different domain; Disconnect removes it. Either way the previous verification is cancelled straight away and a new domain gets a new TXT token, so you'll need to add the new record and verify again. You can remove the old DNS records once you've disconnected.
